A Hair Raising Story of Sylvia

Sylvia began coming to Hair Solutions of South Bay in January 2006. She had severe hair loss on her entire head, her hair follicles were slowly dying she was going through a stage called Telogen Effluvium, the time hair growth is in the resting stage. It falls out, and it doesn’t grow back. After examining her hair follicles with the “hair cam”,* we determined If left untreated, eventually most of the hair would fall out. By using the low level laser treatments, we were able to stop the slowly dying follicles, stimulate the scalp with an increase of blood flow by 50% giving the dying follicles a “wake up” call. Thus pushing the hair’s resting stage into the growth stage.

Q: When you first came to Hair Solutions what were you feeling about your hair loss?
A: I was very sad. I remember I felt embarrassed and hopeless. I hated going out.

Q: How long before you began to see hair re-growth?
A: I don’t remember exactly, but I noticed it stopped falling out and when I washed it. It felt thicker. Now I can tell it is much fuller.

Q: How long did you get treatments?
A: Two times a week for about 8 months, then it really filled in.
